Hey all I hope you are enjoing the game as much as I am!

I'm considering embarking on a life of piracy but don't want to annoy the factions just yet. If I manage to take out a ship of one of the factions are they going to be mad? Dead men tell no tales after all so it seems like they won't but I want to be sure.

 

From what I can tell I didn't get a reputation hit first time I did it but anyone know if I missed something or if there are consequences down the road?

I'd also really like to know this. I had the same thing happen-- I attacked a few ships, didn't notice any negative reputation with their owners (or with anyone, when I attacked unaffiliated merchants). I assumed that ships having faction affiliations meant that attacking them would hurt you with their owner, but it hasn't seemed that way so far? I'd like to make an informed decision about whether or not I'm secretly making everyone in the Deadfire hate me in some way that isn't represented on the faction disposition chart before I continue pirating on everyone.
