Ezren encountered a hag.

Played Orb of Firestorm.

Realizing that wouldn’t be sufficient, I selected one of his spells, then Lem jumped in with a blessing from another location to assist with the Arcane check.

Ezren succeeded the check and defeated the Hag.

The very next action the game took was to Banish the orb.

 

Both Ezren and Lem meet the prerequisites to attempt a recharge or bury.
