Suggestion for Markers with Notes

Is it possible to add the ability to make markers with notes on the town maps and/or world maps like you could do in Icewind Dale 2? I used it all the time and it was really helpful.

I realize there is an entire Notes section in the game where you can write whatever you want, but being able to make a marker on a map and write a corresponding note is incredibly useful in my experience. It gives a location reference to what you are referring to and a sort of situational awareness you don't get by just writing in your Notes such as "Location: Can do this here."
