Maybe I am off on this, but it seemed to me that the attacks of opportunity often weren't present or when they did happen weren't as punishing as in PoE 1, and this to me felt very nice. In PoE 1, I felt player choice in movement and placement were critical in the opening moments of combat, then immediately were taken away as characters became locked in engagement usually for the remainder of the battle. The enemies in my Beta runs were moving around much more, too, and it seemed to me in my play-through this evening one even ran away to escape death as another with more health stepped in and took its place as if it were body blocking my character from landing the killing blow. Re-positioning is fun!
