I recently purchased for PS4. Towards the end of act 2 my i notice my main just standing in battle.  If I command them to use an ability or attack, they will do so and continue to attack until THAT enemy is dead. Then ... , if i don't issue a commad at the start of combat (or during ), my main will just stand there getting punched in the face until death. Both AI settings are set aggressive but no abilities are ever used unless i activate it. I am having to do so much extra micromanagement of my main, just trying to minimize the time they spend uselessly with ... Next to their portrait. This didn't start until recently. I made a new character just now, and the problem started in Valewood, not the prologue . Please help  

Press R2 and pull up the wheel. There is a icon that says AI script. Make sure that it is on and not set to no AI.

Ha! That was it. Not sure how i turned it off, but at least it was an easy fix and not something serious. Thanks for the help.

No problem. Only reason why I know about it is because I needed to turn it off for my solo pacifist run.
