Legendary - Thistletop Delve - Progression Break

Question

Posted (edited)

  • Is pass & play on? No. Is permadeath on? Yes

  • Tutorial, Story Mode, or Quest Mode? (If not quest mode, did you recently enter it?) Story Mode.  Continuing.

Characters in Party: Valeros, Lem, Harsk, Ezren, Merisiel, Kyra

Location of each character: Garrison, Garrison, Warrens, Garrison, Goblin Fortress, Desecrated Vault

Turn Order: As above.  Ezren's turn.

Scenario & Scenario Difficulty.  Thistletop Delve, Legendary. If on non-normal difficulties, which wildcard powers are in play? Darkest Night, Blood in the Sand

What card was encountered when the issue occurred? (Or check, or card just played, etc) Nualia - 2nd combat check

Did the issue occur on the first explore or a subsequent explore?  First explore of the turn.  If subsequent, what card did you last encounter?  Had used Wayfinder to check first.  What was its resolution? (IE, you just encountered an enchanter and failed the check, and on an additional explore you ran into a blessing of the gods but didn't auto acquire it)  Successfully completed first Nualia combat with Ezren, and second Nualia combat with Valeros.

Did other characters aid the check? First check was aided by Lem Improved Bardic performance, Harsk Improved Sniper Shot, and Valeros Improved Teamwork and a few other characters used blessings.  Second check was aided by Harsk Improved Sniper shot and a few other characters used blessings.  What did they use to aid it? Described previously.

Was the encounter a Horde? (Skeleton Horde, Goblin Raid, Zombie Nest, Zombie Horde, Garrison Location Power w/ multiple characters, Henchmen encounter in Black Fang w/ multiple characters) No.

Nualia went a bit crazy throughout the encounter dealing damage when she shouldn't have been.  If I remember correctly the sequence of events leading up to the break were as follows:  Start of Ezren's turn, Ezren moves to Garrison, Ezren uses Wayfinder to examine the top of the the deck, it is Nualia.  Ezren uses free explore to encounter Nualia.  Encounter or Evade to Temple?  Encounter.  Merisiel successfully temp closes Goblin Fortress (only location still open).  Nualia rolls for damage to Ezren.  Ezren takes damage.  Ezren does first fight check using some attack spell (don't remember which, sorry, but it wasn't particularly crazy) getting help from anyone who can (cause this is the final fight). Success with overkill.  Ezren takes 3 damage (what?).  Ezren discards, confirm.  Ezren attemps to recharge spell.  Ezren uses Expanded Spellbook to draw new spell (it's Augery).  (Don't remember if success, I think it failed).  Ezren attempt to recharge Force Missile (What?  That was discarded as part of the previous wtf post battle damage).  Sucess. Nualia Rolls for damage on Lem; discard, confirm.  Nualia Rolls for damage on Valeros; bury some armor to negate, confirm.  Switch to Valeros for 2nd fight check.  Use glaive, all in on aid bonus dice from allies on check.  Overkill success.  4 damage to Valeros (what?); discard, confirm.  3 damage to Lem (what?); no cards in hand, confirm.  Focus to Ezren, "Confirm this action?" no confirm arrow.  Restart app, continue.  Now hanging with "Confirm this action" on Ezren, confirm arrow now available, but does nothing.  Nualia, face up on top of encounter deck.  Can tap to expand, can examine (from wayfinder?) to reveal 6 face down cards and Nualia to the side face up.  Leaving examine puts Nualia in the encounter area, but still stuck with "Confirm this action?"

So it seems this happens when a bane or henchman deals damage to multiple characters at one location. It's happened to me several times in different scenarios. It doesn't always happen, which I'm sure is the truck to figuring out the problem and fixing it. These guys seem fairly on top of it though, so I'd expect a fix in the near future.
