Ezren plays Detect Magic, Explores and finds a Spell. He chooses to Encounter the Spell, acquires it and then doesn't get his Arcane Enthusiasm(?). I guess that for some reason acquiring something with the Magic trait via the Detect Magic "Encounter" might not count as an Encounter. The text from his character sheet from the physical game says "When you acquire a card that has the Magic trait during your exploration, you may immediately explore again".

 

That never gave an additional explore, even before the last update. But that is by design since, to quote Mike Selinkar "It's not exploring. Just because you have the parts of a car lying around doesn't mean you can drive it."
