Remove/delete permadead characters?

Is there any way to remove characters that are listed as dead in the experienced tab?

 

It just feels... untidy

They go away by themselves. It is either after resetting the app or exiting story/quest mode. Can't recall which

Bump on this. How? I've restarted the app and played a few story modes. Having "Seoni 1" and an unselectable dead Seoni even after I turn off permadeath is very annoying.
