Game Crashing when starting new story

I have been playing this game on my Ipad for about two weeks now.  I like the game and have created several save files.  However, now when I log in and try to start a new story the game crashes to the desktop.  Every once in a while it will work, I'm now sure how.  But, 99% of the time it crashes out.  Is this a known problem?  How do I fix the problem?  I have contacted support but have received no response on this as of yet.

 

Ipad version 9.3.1

I've run into this too I think. After closing the app and restarting, I seem to be able to create a new party

Configure browser push notifications
