I played through the tutorial and Brigandoom with Mersiel and Kyra. I tried to start The Poison Pill with the same characters. I get to the screen where I must drag each character to a starting location. When I do, 2 of the same character icons appear over the location I dragged the icon to. I cannot proceed from here.
Now the same happens if I want to play the first scenario again.
EDIT: I found a workaround. In the party screen the first two slots were emtpy (the third and the forth were filled by the two free heroes). I emptied those slots 3 and 4 and pretended the slots 1 and 2 were filled just without an icon. That worked, I could start the scenario. Everything seemed to be in order. I did not want to take chances and created a new party anyway. Nothing bad happened since that.
