After having made a deal to transport the master below out of the Endless Paths, talking to the steward triggers the dialogue that Caed Nua is saved and you get bonus prestige and security. This seems to happen a little too early.

 

This also happens if you renege on the deal which means that the master is still waiting below waiting for you to kill but if you talk to the steward the above happens.
