I mostly approve of new stats of ranger's animal companions. More Constitution here, less Might there, mostly no big deal. However, they got one undeserved nerf: intelligence.

On most character classes, you get something in return for having more of other stats, or you can build around low Intelligence. But ranger companions have so few abilities it IS a big deal.

For example:

- Takedown (a.k.a. Knockdown) has 5s base duration, but now actually 3.8s !!! Hardly worth getting.

- Lion's roar lasts for 11s instead of 15s

- Stag (the one with carnage) has significantly reduced area.

I propose that something is done either about the Intelligence, or about the durations.

Faithful Companion

Additionally, Ituumak was already very vulnerable to various charming effects, and that was WITH the "Faithful Companion" talent Sagani has, and 10/10 mental stats. Now all animals have even lower stats, I believe Boar is the only one that has the same Will because it has 15 Resolve. I think it's warranted to rethink the Faithful Companion talent. It could work a bit like Cipher's Psychic Backslash - once per encounter, it would protect from a charming effect completely. I'm just not noticing any benefit of Faithful Companion. Maybe it converts some hits to grazes, but either way it's not impressive.
