Persistent AOE effects in keep manual defense kill visitors

So here's what just happend on one of my manual stronghold defense fights:

 

I cast Wall of Flame at some point during the fight. Eventually I win. There is a transition to the "peaceful keep" setting. The wall of flame AOE is still present. Lord Sidroc happens to be visiting and is placed within the wall of flame AOE. He turns hostile and does not move. The fire effect keeps chipping away at him until he dies. Nothing I can do.

 

I suppose it would be prudent to let the AOE effects expire when transitioning to the "peaceful keep" map setting.
