Durance died - but was back at Magran's Fork!

On Expert Mode - so Durance died at Anslogs Compass somehow (flank rushed by three extra Guls I hadn't accounted for, although I still thought he had plenty of Endurance, never mind)

 

I travelled back via Magran's Fork to pick up the camping supplies in the hut there, and Durance is back at the statue! I'm able to talk to him, but he still remains out of the party and can't join up again.

 

Seems like a bug.
