I had started off with Expert mode (or w/e it's called, the one that turns off all the helpers) and then disabled it. After loading a game after a while off I started getting a lot of tool tips as they triggered for the first time. I hit "minimize tool tips" and the sound of it closing, of dry paper rolling up, started to play continually. This bug is not fixed by saving and reloading.

I can confirm this bug happening to me on linux. I started a new game (no expert mode) and minimized the tooltips. The only way to stop the sound is to go back to main menu, but in the beginning there are so many tooltips that it's not a solution.

This bug has been reported already, and is in the list of fixes for patch 1.0.3.

A temporary fix is to disable tooltips in the options menu and then loading the save.
