Traverser
Just wondering if there is some sort of stat-capping mechanic I missed. My base is 13 might, I get +1 from a piece of gear and +1 from being human for 15 total might. Any other pieces of gear with + might on them will not increase my might beyond 15. Thanks for your help.
Chris_Woods
It's not capped, it's because you can't get a bonus to a stat from more then one piece of gear. (The highest bonus is kept and all others suppressed.) You can see this if you look at your character effects. You will see something like 'Gauntlets of Might: +1 Might (Suppressed)' That is because some other piece of equipment is also modifying Might. From what I can tell, there are four "buckets" of equipment modifications, and you can have a stat modified from each bucket: - Shields - Weapons - Armor - Everything Else So, if you had a +1 Might shield, +1 Might weapon, +1 Might armor, and +1 Might bracer, you'd have +4 Might. If you add a +1 Might cloak, however, you would not get +5 as the Bracer and the Clock both belong to the "Everything Else" bucket. I'm not 100% sure Armor and Everything Else are separate, however. I'm basing this exclusively on the fact I'm using armor with +3 DR vs. Slashing and a belt of +5 DR vs. Slashing and they *are* staking, but I don't have any stat bonus' from my Armor, so I can't guarantee Might plate would stack with Might gloves. Chris Woods I don't know about the "buckets". I think whatever stat boosting item you have equipped, your stats will only be boosted based off the highest item, much like AC in BG. So if you had an Amulet with +2 Might and +1 Resolve, and also had a pair of boots with +1 Might and +2 Resolve, then that would total out to +2 Might and +2 Resolve, as the other stats are "suppressed" (which you can view on the character screen)
