Why does he do this, even on things with 6m range, he just waltzes right up to the enemy to get KO'd.

Some of the spells are a little annoying cause it's hard to judge how far away you have to be to cast them. But your tank should be keeping the monsters busy anyway.

 

I assume you've given him a ranged weapon?
