Can't get past main menu

I can skip the Obsidian/Paradox/Kickstarter splash screens with a mouse click, and I can see the hand cursor on the main menu, but I can't interact with the menu. I can't start a new game, see options, exit, or do anything. None of the keys on my keyboard have any effect either, though I don't know if they're supposed to. All I can do alt-tab out and close the game from the taskbar.

 

This is with the Steam version, 1.0.2.0508, running on 64-bit Windows 7 SP 1, if that helps.

Asked Steam to verify the game cache, showed ~700 MB of PoE's files were corrupt and needed to be downloaded again. Downloaded them and now it's working.

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
