Jesus Quest Broken

I got South Park on the steam sale the other day and have had tons of fun playing. I just came across a problem though.

 

In the side quest to find Jesus, there are two spots to find him, I got the one in the pews but I cant get the one behind the podium. Earlier on in the game I figured out the light switch/spotlight puzzle and did it way before I had the quest. When I did, it made a sound like I accomplished something but nothing happened. Now when I try to get him to appear behind the podium it doesn't work. I tired turning the lights on and off and re-positioning the the spotlights but nothing will work.

It appears that this quest can not be completed if you already solved the puzzle before the quest. Anyone know how to fix this?
