Crada80 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I would love to see a streamlined journal system. While I do dig the bauldurs gate style diary system it makes it tedious to check objectives. I think the diary system tends to take you out of the story personally, for the simple reason that you didn't write it yourself. A lore section is a must, I just feel that the two shouldn't be joined to fiercely. Also... I am a great fan of owning your own home, and throughout the game seeing your accomplishments literally begin to fill the shelves of your home. Trinkets found and bought on your travels, trophies, and here in your personal abode a place to have that diary, on a podium in the center of your own library. An altar to your awesomeness that has it's own revered location in your world. Also, odd quests... Not fetches. Quests with weight and weirdness that make you wanna keep going at 4am on a Monday when you have to be a work in two hours. Just thoughts .
zain3000 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 As far as peoples' opinions on the journal/quest system: they were discussed at length here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64840-quest-system/ As far as the player house goes, that was a Kickstarter stretch goal that was more than met. Search through the backer updates and you'll find detailed information regarding the meta-gaming involved therein.
