Bug - Can Not Summon Followers (Goths) on day 3

Greetings,

 

I am unable to summon the goths from the treehouse in Kyle's back yard. I think this is due to the following:

I finished the goth follower quest, and was offered the choice of either joining Cartman or Kyle. Instead of going to them immediately, I went into the forest to find the woodland critters.

 

On my way out of the forest my parents found me, and took me home. I could not leave the room (it was locked) and I was forced to bed.

I did the night 2 interlude (the underwear gnomes) and woke up the next AM. I went directly to the Elf Forest to summon the followers, but unfortunately it now won't let me . I climb the tree in the back, and when I get to the top there isn't a prompt.

 

Does anyone have any input that I can use to advance? Is this a 'wait for a patch' issue?
