Sorry I don't know much about this game and I'm a big fan of the show. I know it's an RPG with turn based combat, but is it open world? As in, you can just explore and have a wander if you want to?

 

Or is it a Borderlands type deal, where it's not really mission based but you're kept on a set path through the game?

I think it may be more semi-linear like the FF series. Just move on to higher and higher areas as the story progresses, with little reason to return to lower level areas.
