installing on windows 7 problem

this has always been one of my favorite games but when i tried to install it on my new computer with windows 7 on it the game won't install it will get to disk 3 but when it tries to install TexturePacks\swpc_tex_tpa.erf it just stops, the program is still responsive but it won't go past that file i've left it for about 3 hours and it was still on it any help would be greatly appreciated
