I recently bought Alpha Protocol on Steam but I have yet to play it because the game lags so much. Even when idling at the main menu it is stuttering along and in game it's even worse and completely unplayable.

 

Some information about my system:

 

Intel Core i7 Processor

ATi HD5870 Graphics Card

6GB RAM

Windows 7 64 bit

 

I should be able to play this game on my PC. I have tried turning down all the graphics options, the resolution, I've disabled framerate smoothing in the config file, I've updated my graphics drivers to their latest version and I've tried enabling the 360 gamepad controls but nothing is working.

 

Does anyone have any more ideas as to how I can get this problem fixed? I really want to play this game!
