Does the PC box version use Steam ?

Hi,

 

Now that the game is out I would like to know if the boxed PC version uses Steam at all ?

 

I play on a laptop and don't always have an internet access... so I can't always connect to Steam to launch a game.

 

Will I be able to launch and play Alpha Protocol when I'm not online?

Nope.

The boxed PC version uses Uniloc DRM, which means you'll need to be online to activate the game the first time you run it, but after that it should be ok as far as I know.
