I'm having the same problem, hence why I came here. I googled any possible answers, but get mostly (if not only) Vista solutions, which are supposed to work for Win7 as well. I haven't had any luck, however. I finish creating a character and end up with a "Program has stopped running..." screen right after the scrolling the text.
