Crash before main menu

Hello sorry for the inconvenence but a couple of days ago i got kotor2 and ive been trying to troubleshoot for the entire time my Comp stats are well above the requirement I have all green for kotors system check but when I start it up it loads to right before where the main menu should show up and then it the screen goes black and brings up that annoying problem have occured message, I tryed everything I coud think of to try and get it working but it just doesn't want to work, I really don't want to write this off as a waste of time and money.

KotOR II doesn't really work that well with Intel. A Radeon works, you could download a Radeon off of Google of some search engine.

I am having this problem as well.

 

I posted for help on LucasForums but I am not getting anywhere. And it sucks cos I wanna get it working before TSLRP is released (and thats VERY close to being out woo!) so that I can play a fixed/completed game instead of the broken mess that TSL is currently.

 

Its funny though for all TSL is broke I prefer playing it to the original KotOR. Plays better.

Someone on LucasForums came thru and solved the problem for me.

dual core i see

 

when you start it up, open task manager, and right click on kotor2.exe > set affinity > disable a CPU

 

Fixed.
