Linking trailers to yet released games makes sense, because of the anticipation. But releasing trailers to games that we already played to death is kinda...pointless?

 

As Oner suggested, seeing a trailer to a game one hasn't played can cause the same interest or anticipation as participating in a thread for a game that one hasn't played.

 

That said, if raising anticipation is a worthwhile

That and sometimes the trailers are better than the actual games themselves. :(
