Glitch or not so smart player?

So, I was shot down... again on the plateau of the hidden polar base on Telos. I took care of the Assasin Droids and went inside. (according to a walk through I read there is supposed to be a cutscene where Atton reveals to Kreia a secret or something) This scene never happenned in my game. So, I following the light side gain permission to leave WITH Kriea, Atton, and "Spike" but in the game. Kreia and Atton are standing by the entrance where we came in and don' respond to anything. "Spike" is unconscious in a tube surrounded by a force field. When I ask where my friends are I'm told they are in tha main irrigation tunnel on the northern interior of the plateau and am free to free them. Uh HOW does one do this? Not to mention, there seems to be no way to free the little droid near the docking bay. So, is all this frustration of mine born from the fact that since there was no cutscene the program is not allowing me to continue, OR, is it that I am just clueless about how to get by the level? Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to render.

There is a known bug which prevents you from freeing your companions and thus from continuing the game. Once you enter the base the handmaidens will demand that you lay down your weapons, if you comply immediately, the bug will occur. If you choose one of the other answers and surrender afterwards, you should be fine.

Once you enter the base the handmaidens will demand that you lay down your weapons, if you comply immediately, the bug will occur. If you choose one of the other answers and surrender afterwards, you should be fine.
