Won't Launch launch screen to re-install. HELP!!!

I wasnt able to play it at first then i changed a few things and was able to play. Then i shut down my Dell XPS M1530 and slept. The next day i tried to play and it would say there was a error so i uninstalled it to try and re-install it and the launching screen wouldnt even show on the screen! Please help if it helps, my op is vista.
