Was working before,now can't start with sound

Hello all...

 

I had started playing about a year ago but got swamped with work and family issues and had to put it aside. I'm revisiting it now, but the game won't start unless I disable sound.

 

If I try to start with sound on: It shows a windows error box that says KOTOR2 must close, and I have the option to send the error to MS.

 

I know when I first played it back then it was all working fine, and the only thing I've updated since then would be installing a new video card (8600). Not sure why that would cause the sound to break.

 

My system:

XP Sp2

3.2 P4, 2G Ram

SB Audigy 2Zs

 

Kotor 2.10.47

 

Any ideas? thanks!

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
