Random crashes

Hi, new poster to the forums. I was hoping someone would be able to help me with a recurrent issue I'm having. KOTOR 2 has been a technical nightmare since I got it; I've used the trick of adding that line into the graphics options in the kotor read-me, which solved alot of the problems I've been having with extreme lag in ceartain areas. However, I have been getting random crashes lately; this may be down to some mods (I didnt install them myself, much to my annoyance, I'm on a shared machine). So first real question; do the following mods:

 

Mod that adds new playable character Dustil

Mod that gives Kreia a lightsaber from the beggining of the game

High Level Force Powers mod

Upgraded movies and sounds patch

 

cause any known conflicts or crashing problems?

If not, what other possible reasons could cause random crashes? Its not like others who crash at movie scenes, it just seems to crash whenever it feels like it .

 

My system is as follows;

 

AMD 2800+ Barton

Geforce 6600gt 128 meg AGP

768 RAM

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Eh, a lot of mods are unstable when used in conjunction with other mods. I say uninstall them all, then patch your game fully. If it still doesn't work...Try reinstalling the game.
