Logan M Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Hello, I have a few quick questions for the animators of Obsidian regarding animation demo reels for the gaming industry. Currently I am finishing up a "Game Art & Animation" program and am working on a 3d animated short. I intend to send it to game developers, and was worried if just an animated short might not cut it. When reviewing demo reels for potential animators, does the quality of animation take precedent over the format (in my case an animated short), or is there a more favorable way to submit an animation reel for game companies, such as short clips/actions similar to what a character would use in-game. I was originally thinking of putting both on my reel (clips + animated short), but was hoping that you guys might help me get a better idea of what game companies look for. Thanks in advance, Logan
