I guess that means it should check for which ever one is actually connected ... but if that was the case, you probably wouldn't be getting the error you're getting. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and ask something that may seem kind of stupid, but I'm starting to run out of ideas ... your monitor is connected to the VGA (or DVI) port on your card, right (not your mobo)?
