Cannot load game

For some reason, I cannot load my current saved game. My character has just entered the secret tomb on Korriban, and every time I try to load the game, the load bar goes to about 1/3 and then stops. And stays there.

 

Also, whenever I CAD out of the game (it's my only option), it's not marked as "not responding." To all appearances, the game is running normally.

 

I'd really rather *not* use my alternate saved game as I have no desire or time to replay six hours of KOTORII.

 

Any info/suggestions?
