As the game progresses you will aquire lightsabre parts for successfully completeing quests, ask Bao Dur if you have all the necessy components, if you have he will assist you in constructing your first sabre, giving you the option of double or single bladed, this process begins on the first planet (any of them) after leaveing Telos, you will not find or loot any until you've have done this.
