Kayn
From The Force.net... Echani Category: Alien Races This alien race was known for its military prowess, which was evident across the galaxy during the years leading up to the Great Sith War. The Echani were noted as skilled warriors, and many of their techniques became the basis for the Echani style of martial arts. The Echani were distinguished by their use of armor and weaponry that incorporated cortosis ore, allowing them to be effective combatants against the Sith as well as the Jedi Knights. It was an ancient art that involved the use of a pair of short, sharp-bladed knives. The roots of the Echani martial arts could be traced back to the era before the Great Sith War, and were based on the military styles of the Echani race. Many Echani warriors developed their own specialized body armor and weapons, to further distinguish themselves from fighters who employed other styles. The Firedancers used a ritual staff that was heated to extreme temperatures at each end. The staff would inflict physical damage as well as intense burns when it struck an opponent. Shortly after the era of the Great Hunt, the Echani Handmaidens disappeared. Source: LucasArts Entertainment Company website (www.lucasarts.com), from LucasArts Entertainment Company It seem that most of the Echani culture was main described in the KotOR games... They probably build it up around the name of the martial art... Just like the Mandalorian, that as far I know, are mentioned more for the Mandalorian Iron, rather than the war with Revan... (Maybe they have taken part in the war with Exar Kun...) Curious about the fact that the Empire will be using the Echani Style... (And this people will give a lot of aid to the Old Republic...) And the Old Republic in it last days was using the Iron for the weapons of the Senate Guards... Mandalorian Iron Category: Rocks and Minerals Planet of Origin: Mandalore A metal that is virtually indestructible, even to a lightsaber blade. Jedi Master Arca hid Freedon Nadd's Sith artifacts in a storehouse built from Mandalorian Iron in an effort to seal it forever, but Exar Kun used the Dark Side of The Force to penetrate it.
