eccozmaig Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Gameplay: How about more than 1 NPC ally. Preferably as many as you can afford (mercenaries) or as many as will follow you (charisma plays a real role?). Friendly resitance groups (If there is something worth resisting)? I find it strange that in NWN and BG you go around saving the world, yet no one will give you anything free nor join you in your fight. You should at least get a few supporters to follow you or some blacksmiths that want to aid you in your cause. Some peasants randomly thanking you and giving you 5 gold pieces would add humanity to the storyline. Your actions are reflected by the people. Fighting: It should not all be swing and miss. I like how in NWN there were parrys, but they really were not useful. Shields and defensive blows should play a bigger role, being able to block and dodge realistically makes fighting scenes a lot cooler. Maming? That might be gay when you get hurt you can't run as fast or can't hit as often, or it may be nice depending which side you are on. More gore is definately a plus.. if you smack a guy hardcore with a club he should go flying. Hit a guy with a huge axe get chopped in half. A sword? Decapitation. Arrows should stick in the enemies. Fighting humans seems to me much more fun than fighting an army of lizards or giant ants. Humanoid creatures are more recognizable and add more drama. Fighting the undead is pretty boring.

Though those/this idea(s) are/is the best. Gameplay:How about more than 1 NPC ally. Preferably as many as you can afford (mercenaries) or as many as will follow you (charisma plays a real role?). Had to register on the forum just because I thought it was a nice idea and noone else had posted before.
