Whe D&D first came out (ya I am that old) a space based game

also came out called traveler.

It was a skill driven Space based game

it had a lot of potential..I am surprised nobody has picked up on it :p

IF your saying..what game? right now...you would have to

hit e-bay to find the original books (came with 3) there was about

a dozen expansion books...sound familiar?

games that expanded in many, many books were popular games

I would also say rolemaster...but that is already taken...going to be an

online game, last I heard

Except SJGames owns the traveller rights now IIRC, maybe bother them to add it to gurps online :)

Course, there already was a travelller game back in the day done by SSI back in the days of EGA :)

Travellers galaxy creation system lent itself suprisingly well to computerisation. I remember whacking up some fortran code to help me generate games back in the day. Yes, Im old enough that I not only remember but know how to code fortran :)
