Potential Bug and Gear

Featured Replies

Ok, so I’ve got a REALLY good idea for Grounded 2. I know they’re probably not gonna add my idea, but it’d be radical.

Where I grew up, there’s these little guys called Sand Puppies, or as more people know them as, Jerusalem Crickets. As a kid, I used to play with them and would always get bit, and their bite hurts.

Playing the first Grounded, I didn’t really get any cool ideas. Seeing the soon-to-be-added parts of Grounded 2’s map, I think Sand Puppies could be an amazing addition to the game.

They’re usually nocturnal, nest underground, and feed on rotting plants/food, other bugs, and sometimes their own.

I think they’d be a nice change from finding pretty much every bug during the day (minus the O.G.G.R. Bugs) but also incorporate previous/current mechanics, like they could burrow underground and make dens like anthills almost. They’re usually nocturnal, could potentially roam the map a little, preying on spiders, scorpions, etc, and it could show the burrowing bug animation like grubs, larvae, and scorpions do when they move underground.

Gear could be another fighter set, but if I’m being honest, I’d want the sand puppy gear to be T5. It could be either a shield & sword combo or, personally, I don’t think one-handed smashing weapons are getting enough love. I’d love there to be a high tier smashing weapon to use in place of the lizard weapon, and still have it be one handed. There could be a set bonus for the armor that either gives you night vision from the helmet (nocturnal part of the bug) or some buff that makes one handed weapons deal more damage.

This one’s a long shot, but it would make an OP combat tank (faster than the ladybug and potential potato beetle buggies, but a little weaker than the orb weaver.

I’m not sure if any devs read these, but PLEASE CONSIDER THIS!!! I’d love to see it in Grounded Two, even if it comes in the game in the very last update or if it’s sooner.
