6 hours ago6 hr I love the progressive gameplay loop of Grounded 2. I also would love to build a beautiful, sprawling base in my playthroughs, but alas, I can never justify the sheer amount of time investment needed to make a base that I can be proud of, as opposed to some cobbled together encampment. Thus, when I get the building itch, I build in creative, but of course, what's the point of a base that's never going to be lived in? Thus bringing me to my suggestion, a custom mode setting, one that allows building with no resource cost, but without eradicating progression. Specifically, I would want a setting where building requires 0 resources (Recycling them yields nothing so as to not break progression), but crafting (equipment & such found in the normal crafting menu) still requires resources. On top of that, I believe that there should be blacklisted buildables that still require resources to be built, being any kind of buildable that serves a purpose beyond structure, such as the hatchery. Finally, I think that the buildables should still need to be purchased from the science shop (if applicable) & their designated material also be researched, allowing there to still be a sense of progression tied to it. Thank you for your time, I hope to one day build freely.
