Torches/candy staves/buggies

Featured Replies

Torches should be a slotted gear item, toggle on/off in radial menu. They shouldn't work underwater if the slime lantern stays in the game. Slime lantern should illuminate as much if not more than everchar torch. Frees off-hand to be for shield and allows 2-h weapons to have illumination. Most of the game is played in the dark when exploring.

Candy staves should illuminate like torches or changed to candy wands 1-h to allow free hand to have a torch or shield. A candy shield would be great if torches had a dedicated gear slot.

Buggies should all be hatched at rank 1 so that the buffing barrel can actually be used and have a meaningful impact. The game was made with the buggies in mind and yet you cannot use them underground, except for the ant, despite other insects being underground.

I understand the game is in early access but there are QoL improvements that need to be made because as it stands now for a game that was made for buggies to not be able to utilize 50% of the time especially now with fast travel, big issue. What's the point of shields when more than half the time the off-hand is used for illumination. The game has classes(archetypes) but you're forced to abandon those in certain areas of the game to have protection from the environment making the class system useless. I doubt this will be seen or that others would agree but I would like see some quality over quantity going forward
