Things i would like to see

Featured Replies

I have a few ideas that I think would be great additions to Grounded 2:

1. Ceiling Foundations

For players building multi-story bases, it would be nice to have ceiling foundation pieces that provide a cleaner and more structured way to build upper floors.

2. Functional Trash Cans

Allow trash cans to serve a purpose beyond simply deleting items. Players could discard unwanted items and receive random materials in return. The more valuable the discarded items, the better the potential rewards.

3. Weapon Upgrade Reset

Add a way to reset weapon upgrades if a player makes a mistake or wants to try a different upgrade path. This could come at a high resource cost to keep the decision meaningful while still giving players flexibility without having to craft an entirely new weapon.

4. Additional Workbench Skins

It would be great to have more decorative and premium-looking workbench skins to give bases a more customized and personal feel.

5. Improved Waft Invasion Information

When triggering a waft invasion, show the level or strength of the attack beforehand. It could also be interesting to have special high-level events where the character sending the attack personally joins the assault, making the encounter feel more unique and challenging.

6. Blueprint Purchases

Allow players to purchase building blueprints with Raw Science in laboratories. This would give players another meaningful way to spend their Raw Science while unlocking new building options and designs

I would like to see the misable critter card issues resolved.

I was 100 game days in before i realized there was misable content and refuse to start over. obsidian should either respawn all critter and the bosses or give the critter cards once defeated if they will not reespawn.

Its crazy that there is no warning and there are so many misable items

  1. Ceiling foundations

When you say structured, I’m assuming you mean visual support as the floors can appear very floaty. If I’m picturing what you proposed correctly, it would look a bit beams in a grid format. We’d have to have some additional pieces to accommodate triangles and curves. I would want these to block off some of the lighting that comes up through the cracks between floor pieces.

  2. Functional Trash Can

Seconded. I like the idea of being able to get back random resources a whole lot.

  3. Weapon upgrade reset

I’m not opposed to the idea, but I would rather have something similar to the duplicating device that was in the oak tree lab (I think it’s called the Super Duper, but it’s been a while) so I could duplicate my weapon when I reach a point where I had to branch off into the various upgrade paths. I could make a copy for each upgrade path. The two ideas do not oppose each other though, so in a perfect world we’d get both.

  4. Additional Workbench Skins

I’d be up for most furniture (functional or decor) having multiple skins/versions. Variety is the spice of life when building.

  5. Waft info

Nothing to add to this idea

  6. Blueprint purchases

We do already have that ability. We just tend to buy the blueprints in package format like all of the clover roof pieces at once. Some are sold separately like the turret and ladders. If you’re suggesting more blueprints in addition to what we have, then yes, fully on board with that. I’d also like to find blueprints randomly in the park as I just want more things to find.
