May 16May 16 I'm sure we all have a bug that we would like to see in grounded 2. And with all of the new ones added already, who can blame us for having high hopes. So I'm sure I'm not the first person to suggest a new bug variant, especially when it comes to buggies. Since the announcement of the new game I have had my hopes set on one type of buggie. The jumping spider, the cutest of all spiders. Groundeds animation style lends perfectly to making a jumping spider one of the most loved buggies in the game. And that's just appearance. When it comes to function, I feel like it could be one of the most useful buggies for traversing the park. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has gotten the glitch with the orb weaver that makes it's jump super powered. That type of mobility is exactly what the jumping spider could offer. This buggie could aid in parkour challenges along with quick evasion in a fight. There are many different types of jumping spiders and any of them could be an excellent choice. On average, they are slightly bigger than an ant, which makes them the perfect in-between of the orb weaver and the ant buggies. This can allow them to travel easily through difficult areas such as the hedges or underground tunnel systems. This could also open the opportunity for a web hammock, since jumping spiders make hammocks instead of the typical web. A small addition that could be made to the buggies overall because of the addition of the jumping spider is the ability to train the buggies to do tricks. Jumping spiders are highly intelligent and capable of performing simple tricks. It would be wonderful to be able to teach the buggies to roll over and play fetch. With the jumping ability of this new spider variant, it would be interesting to have the ability to cling onto the vertical objects in the game. Not necessarily a full wall climb, but a slight sticky effect that allows you to cling to the wall but slowly slide down as you do. Allowing you to jump up and out from a wall or a tree. When used right, this could allow you to climb the tallest objects. For example the podium west of the statue or the hot dog stand. I would love to be able to access the top of the hot dog stand. Lastly, I just want to bring up how adorable jumping spiders are again. The big eyes, the iridescent mandibles, the fluffy fur. I really do think the jumping spider could be one of the most loved buggies in grounded 2. P.S. I apologize if I'm not the first to suggest this and that I may be late to party on this one. If not, please share this if you agree that grounded 2 needs jumping spiders
Saturday at 08:23 PM2 days I also think jumping spiders would be an amazing addition to grounded 2, but what i thought of when possibly adding them would having them as a pet like in the first game with aphids and weevils rather than a new buggie, they could be tamed with some sort of aphid soup made in the oven or something.Jumping spiders are known for making slack lines to catch themselves incase they miss their prey and then they can climb back up there web to try again, so I was thinking that the jumping spiders could latch to your back and act as a way to repel from builds and places in the environment. They could also potentially make single use ziplines/bridges by starting its web on one side of a gap and jumping to the other side and completing its zipline/bridge. I think this would fit perfectly with the upcoming update that will be adding ziplines.
Yesterday at 12:39 AM1 day Author @The1stHømbre I think those are great ideas! However, to compromise on ideas, I feel like making the spiderling able to tame would add both of our contributions. I think it would be amazing to have a tamed spiderling that acts as a grapling hook/repel tool and temporary (limited) zip lines. This still leaves the opportunity for having a jumping spider as a buggie. My main reason for this is cause I really do think the jumping spider would provide amazing mobility. The speed at which jumping spiders can jump could make traversing the park so much quicker! Or what if it's specifically the jumping spider spiderlings that can be tamed for this purpose so that you have both options. The babies can be pets while the adults can be buggies. Overall, I think the addition of jumping spiders would be absolutely amazing!
