2 hours ago2 hr Coming from a group that has played Grounded extensively, as well as other open-world survival games, there are 2 suggestions for the inventory system that we would like to make. These are things that I've seen in other games, and would be incredibly convenient in Grounded 2.Storage bin assignmentDetails:Allow for us to assign specific items to specific bins instead of only hot depositing when that bin already contains the item.Use Case:Someone in my group uses the last piece of Bee Fuzz to build something. Next time I return to base and hot-deposit my resources, my Bee Fuzz stays in my inventory. I have to find the correct bin to place it in, which can sometimes be messy when we have lots of bins/resources.Solution:A bin is permanently flagged as a drop-off location for Bee Fuzz. When hot depositing, resources will first go to a bin that has existing matched resources and second to any bin that is flagged as a drop-off location for that resource.Locked inventory slotsDetails:Allow us to "lock" inventory slots so that the items in that slot are never sorted or hot deposited.Use Case:I want to keep 2 stacks of arrows in my inventory, but sometimes I end up with extra arrows from collecting them after a team fight. I'd like to be able to hot deposit the extras into a shared bin for teammates to pick up, but currently I can only deposit all of my stacks. Also applies to things like tufts or bandages, where you want to keep a certain amount with you but sometimes end up with excess.Solution:Add a small "lock" icon to inventory slots. Any items that are in that slot are ignored by hot deposit and inventory sort actions.Optionally also apply to mount inventory slots.
