I need help mid max my main character Mele DW Rogue (Potd -the hardest difficulty level)

I need help mid max my main character rogue

I'll write what I mean so that someone more familiar with the game can help avoid the mistake.

I read some to better understanding game

i have my vision for my play but i can do mistake because it my first play (if don't count play first 5 level on hard mode where I had to make sure if it was really its hard mode because it wasn't that hard that's why I wanted to try play on potd on first play but i want best version my build.

Stat:

Might 18

Costitution 8

Dexterity 18

Perception 15

Intellect 6

Resolve 13

Might and Dexterity 18 ( because i want do fast and high damage)

Costitution 8 (i dont go lower because i dont want be one shot)

Intellect 6 ( I think this is the most optimal value for me, I don't want to go lower, I know that I don't have many skills that are affected by this, but I have the impression that skills that are important to me, such as escape or others, will have too short effect time if i dump more.

Rest in Perception 15 and Resolve 13 ( 13 because if i want i can up it with item and buff from rest to 18 for quest, and if it was not main character i I could try take 5 point and add to the perception)

Leveling:

1 Blinding Strike ( I chose it because even though the caster will cast blind AOE, it's still better for my play because the caster may have more important tasks at the moment than casting blind. It's not only an offensive skill that allows us to hit easier, but also a defensive one - it penalizes the opponent's accuracy)

2 Two Weapon Style

3 Reckless Assault ( for better accuracy and more damge) or escape

4 Select talent "Shadowing Beyond" (defense skill, with backstab will be offenive too)

5 Reckless Assault or escape (It's repeated a second time because I want both and I'm not sure which one should come first)

escape imo must have, i dont use it like it say for run away but for mobilty

i can fast jump to enemy +25 to deflection short time ( but i think it is enough to eliminate the dangerous enemy like caster then use Shadowing Beyond if need to not die from aggro i take)

6 Backstab (it seems useless because it can only be used once but for my play important to help elminate most the most dangerous enemies like casters and change Shadowing Beyond and Feign Death to ofensive skill too)

7. Finishing Blow (seems obvious and necessary in my build)

8 Vulnerable Attack ( to help by pass damage reduction)

9 Dirty Fighting

10 Quick Switch or if it will bad choose i will take fast runner

i not 100 sure that is good skill to take it

i choose it because i want use use sabre for backstab and Finishing Blow for more damge when need and fast swap weapons to stiletto for trash mob( or swap to club for Crushing damge if need).

If I understand correctly, the damage will be lower after the change, but I will attack faster and get rid of trash enemies faster and( I dont mind micro mange weapons swap )

11. Deathblows

12. Devastating Blow

13 Sap (I think it will be a great CC for rogue which will also improve his survivability)

14 Vicious Fighting

15 Feign Death

i not sure if i need another deff skill if not i will choose persistent Distraction ( becaose most time almost always i must be atack from from flank and if i corect think flank +Distraction=Deathblows)

16 "Weapon Focus Ruffian" or Super Deflection ( i not sure i willl need more def or atack on that level)

Race:

becaose Quick Switch i not sure what will be better hearth orlan or island aumaua (add Weapon slot i can have saber club and stiletto and swap when need) and no matter what I chose, the statistics would be the same (dont see possibilities for change anything) and if sombady ask i dont want use bow, only mele

Background : Hunter (IMO better option than Drifter) +1Stealth +1Survival

Stealth: 12 +1 (from rogue) +1 (from Hunter) =14

i want max possible without buff on rogue for better position and even if I almost touch the opponents they cant see me

Athletic: 3 (rest points)

Lore: 0 ( no need in this build)

Mechanics: 0+2(from rogue)

no need in this build becose grieving mother will be have max

Survival 3 +1(from Hunter)=4

why 4 with buff i can have 7 for 2 damage reduction if need, also through Hunter i can spent only 3 point to Survival and have early +1 to mobilty)

Companions:

Eder (Main tank)

Pallegina (she main wlill be 2hand dps but can help tank if to much opponents for eder or eder cant be in two places at the same time)

Durance

becaose i need buffer and healer

Aloth and Grieving Mother

2 caster for great cc great sppell, cipher will be range bow (probably - but not sure what, fast or slow… for genrate focus)

mc: Mele Dw rogue (for me a more appropriate name would be assassin)

equipment:

I'm not sure if I'll find what I want because the loot is random and I also too lazy to check all reward for all quest

but must have for me is boots +3 movents

my rogue walks most than others during battle so to not waste time for walks he need speed bonus) and I dont know how and where I early can get it

armor: I chose something in between Padded Armor, Hide, Leather or Scale (I dont want get much recover penalty, and becaose random drop and I not sure what will best for me I not sure what will chose)

weapons saber (backstab and Finishing Blow or if I need more damge )and stiletto (for faster kill trash

mobs) or club if if need Crushing damge I will think I will be offten weapons swap (I not sure If it worth it) that I choose Quick Switch ( if I make mistake say it why, but I must say micromanagement for swap its not problem for me)

rest items: not sure beacose I dont know what I find and that I will need more defensive or offensive items Because it will be glass cannon but I I don't want to overdo it to be one shot on hard enemy like boss (min 2 or better 3 hit to have time for reaction)

beacose it will be my first play I have question for fortress caed nua

It will be better fast possible upgrade it for benfits or first good gear up my team then upgrade caed nua

if you see somewhere mistake say it where and why you will be change but I only prefer to discussions with someone who have experience on potd ( beacose that will be difficulty level I will play on)

If you don't want to savescum for that +2 Mechanics gloves, I suggest getting Mechanics yourself instead of on a companion. All companions are stuck with +1 base except for the other rogue, whom you can't get early. Instead you can start with +3 and because of how skills work, you'll be able to handle hard locks, traps especially hidden treasures MUCH earlier.

I would move points from might to max perception. Sneak attack makes might less relevent, also as melee rogue, you want either crit to prone/stun weapons, or +crit damage weapons, both favour perception over might.
