Avowed is Coming to PlayStation 5 Along with the Anniversary Update!

Hello all!

Last week we had the opportunity to take part in the brand new New Game+ Showcase. Gameplay Director Gabe Paramo and Lead Character Designer Dimitri Berman spoke with the New Game+ Showcase crew about what players can expect in the next update. They discussed previously announced items from our roadmap like the new weapon type -- a two handed quarterstaff -- photo mode, New Game Plus, as well as something brand new coming to the anniversary update: new playable races! That's right, players will now be able to choose from all available Eora races: human, elf, dwarf, orlan, and aumaua at character creation. Fear not for those who are already deep in a playthrough, though. As previously announced, you'll be able to change your appearance well after character creation if you'd like.

Along with that news, we also announced that Avowed will be coming to PlayStation 5 in time for the anniversary update as well. PlayStation 5 players will also get all of the updates that were released previously as well as the upcoming anniversary update on launch day of February 17th. The price of the game is also being dropped to $49.99 for the base edition and $59.99 for the premium edition. Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 version of Avowed are available now!

We have more to share about what will be coming with the anniversary update in the weeks to come as we approach the February 17th release date—stay tuned!
