Issue collecting zeranium to get the shield

after the last update i the game no longer lets me collect the zeranium gas in the vial to get the shield i  tried a old save reset the game started a new game  and it no longer gives the x button option on Xbox to collect the gas it worked great before that>

I am playing on Xbox series X had no issues with the game till today any thoughts on fixing it?

I am stuck on the same issue with my second playthrough.  On PS5 so the bug is not Xbox-specific.

I was having the same issue on a new play through on my Xbox If you haven’t figured it out yet, I was able to work around this by going into first person.
