Can't Toggle to Third Person View (PS5)

I cannot toggle from first person, to third person view.  I was having difficulty figuring out which button(s) to press in order to toggle because it isn't mentioned anywhere in the CODEX that I could find.  I finally watched a YouTube video, and apparently you need to press and hold the pad "button".  But that doesn't work either.

1. Is there something I need to change in the SETTINGS menu to activate Third Person?
2. Am I pressing/holding the wrong button?  What is the correct action to take in order to toggle?

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
