Observation skill broken because of UI option

Hi. I've played the entire first planet with my observation skill at least on 2 points ( now 8 ) and wondered, why I haven't found a single secret. I've never seen the secret detection eye from the skill preview, not even on the tutorial poster on horizon point. 
I found out it's because I deactivated the highlight option for interactable objects (the chunky turquoise border). Personally, I can't stand this border, particularly because it's breaking the immersion for me and it is not customizable at all.


With this, my options are the item highlight turned on, or one of my skills is widely not usable.

Please fix or update this. I don't want to play like this any further :(

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
